Meet the Team - Dom Harrington, Chief Software Consultant
As Chief Software Consultant, Dom’s days are rarely predictable. They’re busy, varied and often complex, but that’s exactly how he likes them. No two days are the same, and progress is measured in small victories: a system refined, a problem untangled, a client finally seeing clarity where there was once confusion.
Dom’s career journey has been a natural progression, shaped by bold steps and a willingness to take on new challenges. Over the past 13 years at JCM, he has become known for his resilience, his “can do” mindset and his ability to stay calm when things get complicated.
One of Dom’s standout strengths is translation, not between languages, but between technical and non-technical worlds. He has a knack for making complex software scenarios make sense, often through an analogy, a simple explanation… or occasionally a well-timed bad dad joke. It’s this ability to bridge gaps that makes him such a trusted adviser to clients and colleagues alike.
In fact, Dom is the author of the number one selling Zoho book on Amazon for the past four years, a reflection of both his technical expertise and his commitment to helping others understand systems in a practical, accessible way.
What he values most about working at JCM is being part of a genuinely supportive team. Family values sit at the heart of how he works, putting people first and treating everyone as he would wish to be treated himself. That principle underpins every client conversation and every project he leads.
Outside of work, Dom’s world revolves around family and football. He coaches his son’s Under 11s team (celebrating enthusiastically when they win), follows Aston Villa (again, celebrating when they win), and enjoys walking and cooking, sometimes all in the same day if he’s lucky. Being a parent has shaped much of how he approaches life and leadership, bringing patience, perspective and a long-term view to everything he does.
His current ambition? To create an AI version of himself that handles the workload while he relaxes by the pool with a book, or better still, spends his time helping others for free.
Until then, he’ll continue doing what he does best: bringing clarity to complexity, steady thinking to fast-moving situations, and a human touch to every system he builds.
